I skimmed through Red Lantern and noticed Dexstarr had a two page full spread of him floating around in space with his red ring on his tail. SOLD!

look here, upon a sig graveyard.
I'm not the biggest Milligan fan there is, but I expected better than this.
But then again...Elektra. Woof.
Read Men At War or whatever the fuck it is. I used to love Sgt. Rock. But this ain't him, and Tom Derenick ain't Joe Kubert. Phil Winslade, whom I think has done some lovely work before, does a back up. Not too impressed. Based on the sketchiness of it and lack of backgrounds, it looks like he shit it out in a day.
Justice League International. Lopresti ain't Hughes, but he isn't bad either. He can do expressions pretty well. I was hoping for some of that Giffen/DeMattais caliber humor. We get Dan Jurgens instead.
Action Comics. Clark is Peter Parker? Why the fuck is he so young?* I love Luthor.
Omac. Dan Didio writing? blech. I know a few decent writers have started as editors, but for the most part I think the practice is akin to those who can't do, teach. Giffen is listed as co writer, but I assume it's like his other collaborations where he throws a plot out there, and it's up to the other guy to script. It's a process that has worked very well in the past. But Didio? Also, I've never been a fan of Kirby. Sacrilege, I know. So I'm really not a fan of Giffen covering Kirby.
Hawk and Dove. After all these years, you'd think Rob could have learned to draw some hands and feet (and mouths, muscles, cars, etc.). But no, and why the hell does a passenger plane suddenly morph into the ship from Firefly on the second page? It's okay though, it morphs back into a regular plane just in time to hit the laziest rendition of one of the easiest monuments to draw I've ever seen. This is just soo bad. I kinda liked it.
*I'm so confused with this new launch. Are the books each their own universe? Why the fuck are some guys real young in one book, but older in another, and it all looks to be the same era time wise? Are the Wildstorm guys part of the regular DC universe or are there 52 separate universes still? I'm so confused!
I think I only have two books (Stormwatch and Static Shock) to go until the next wave hits tomorrow. I used to love Stormwatch (I liked the initial run, lost interest about fifteen issues in and then picked it up again when Ellis took over. The rest they say is history.) but never even opened up a Static. I'm going to guess the one I like now won't be the one I liked back in the day.

Wildstorm was absorbed by DC, so they're in the DCU now. JL takes place 5 years in the past. Action takes place 6 years in the past, but both will catch up to "current continuity" after the first arc.
Is that in the books and I missed it? Or do they expect everyone to read shit outside of the books to know what's going on inside them?
I've read that DC intentionally under printed this shit in order to build the sold out hype. If true, then Fuck DC.
I know Justice League was sold out before it hit stores, and is on a 3rd printing along with Batgirl and a few others.
I have a signed and numbered hardcover of The Incal. I should dig that out and read it again.
I heard Snow was really good! J.H. Williams is fantastic.
No kidding, Seth Fisher was an amazing artist. I just found Tokyo Pop the other day while leafing through some old stuff, I really should give it a re-read.
So I picked up Supergirl #1 today, just out of curiosity and because I liked the character design on the cover. Sometimes I buy stupid stuff for no good reason, and this was one of those times. At least Witch Doctor #3 came out to make it all better. Anyone else reading this? I really can't recommend it enough, just for the sheer fun factor.
