Anybody else read Terry Moore's "Echo"?
When the hell did issue 4 come out? It seems like it jumped directly from 3 to 5...
Secret Invasion is kind of a bummer. Did New Avengers kind of peter out as a series completely because of it?
New Avengers #43:Meh. Just like how the whole Secret Invasion has gotten meh.
Not as interesting as i though it would be. The whole thing seems to be drawn out for the sake of getting drawn out.
Thor #10:Good just like all the others. Balders the new Prince of Asgard. Loki is plotting as usual. I like how when loki was first introduced as a woman she was kind of attractive.
But as time as gone on she is getting drawn in a way that you see the distrust she is capable of. And she would be the last person anyone would ever trust.
Anita Blake:Guilty Pleasure vol2.: Good. the novel is still better. Art still holds up well and it follows the book well.
Skaar #2: Im actually liking it. Wondering if they will do anythin with the character or if it will just be forgotten.
Project Superpowers #5: Great issue once again. All the heroes are coming together. And it looks like they will be at war with the world. Should be good.
Black Panther#38:kind of meh conclusion to the 2 parter. It ends quickly and not very satisfyingly. It feels like they were rushed in what the were doing to get the secret invasion issues out.
Black Panther#39:Good. Very good. Different team on this one. Hudlin and Portela make way for Aaron and Palo. I love...LOVE Palo's art.Depends alot on shadows and minimal lines. The dark art really goes well with the story. Basically Skrulls invaded wakanda.
And they are coming in with forces to finish the job. It basically turns into an old fashioned swords and shields, army vs army shit. Very nice. Black Panther is just good and gooder.

I think so. It was interesting with the whole "Heroes on the run" angle they were going with. But with the secret invasion stuff its all just flashbacks and "this is when this character became a skrull" shit. I cant wait for Secret Invasion to finish so i can see what they do with them next.
Civil War gave us Thunderbolts, which is awesome. And it was a great story in and of itself.
I have no faith in Bendis to get anything right or good, he's too busy putting six or seven titles out to get the paychecks. I have to seriously tip my hat to the shrewd, bald Jew though, milking Secret Invasion side stories and back matter as a way to write New Avengers and Mighty Avengers for 6 to 8 months like he has is genius.
Bendis is a nice guy, I met him once and talked for like half an hour, I have nothing but good things to say about him. And he writes fantastic dialogue. How Iron fucking Fist got a series but there's no Bendis Luke Cage book is beyond me.
But yeah, Secret Invasion needs to end already. The fact that the Avengers has just been turned into a series of SI side stories and tableaus was alright at first, but after 4 months is starting to get old.
