I'm 99% certain you wouldn't have gotten QuickTime Pro when buying any kind of Mac. It's not something to really fret over, though - if there's one thing that nobody actually pays for on Mac OSX, it's QT Pro. I'm not always a supporter of piracy, but totally gimping your main media viewing app is just uncalled for.

i do have QTPro though, i dont know if i got it on the mac standard, or it came with the final cut studio package, i dunno. Im willing to wager it came with the Studio Package.

One thing I do like is how it pauses play when whatever's plugged into the headphone jack is unplugged. When I park my car I can unplug the tape adapter, slip hold on and just slip it in my pocket and go. It'll turn off automatically in like a minute.
