edit: also, Josh, engadget, where i got the link to our firmware, says the 3g phones they had have a different firmware then we got, and that the apple servers now have the firmware the 3g phones have as well. They restored to that firmware and they are saying smooth sailing, less crashing, more responsive.

I know ive experienced input lag and inputs i never registered going on in the past day. Hopefully this remedys that.

Basically, restore your phone via itunes.

    doing so now. Thanks.

  4. how is that bomberman game? I want the monkeyball one for my iphone. The itune remote app will be just what I needed since I use itunes for playing music off my laptop. Now I won't have to get up from the couch, run over to the bar and switch tunes while I'm drinking/partying. Any other apps to look out for?

    Clowdy and PhoneSaber.

  6. theres a couple REALLY need free games. I also found a voice dailer but it seems to be really slow, when you could even quicker go to your favorites list under phone. Ill keep testing it out

  7. Standing in line yesterday for a new iphone was, by far, the stupidest thing I've ever done in my life. Still....the new iphone is really flipping sweet. And it's also my first ever iphone, so I'm even more impressed. I'm trying out the apps you guys suggested and a bunch of others, and it's really, really cool.

There were two instances, when I was standing in line, that I thought about getting out of line and waiting for the ruckus to die down....

1.) Some kid (12 year old maybe?) was PULLED OUT of the Apple store by his mom as he was screaming something like, "Screeeewww you AT&T! I hope you burn in hell for what you did!" That made me feel embarassed for him and his mom...but also for me bc I was standing in line waiting for the same thing he was.

2.) Some lil kid walks by holding his moms hand. Kid goes, "what is this line, mom?" Mom goes, "They're waiting for a cell phone, hon." And right then it hit me...I've been standing in line for two hours waiting for the privilege to hand over $200 and buy a FREAKIN CELL PHONE!

This is why people hate America...and I can't blame them. Still, the GPS on this iphone is great.

  8. Apps i Recommend that are already immediately useful for me, also, all these Apps are FREE!

    AIM
    Myspace Mobile
    Facebook Mobile
Google Ap (if only for a shortcut to other google apps like google reader)
    Bank Of America app
    Yellow Pages Mobile
Easy Task (much better then ToDo josh)
    Weatherbug (destroys standard weather app)
VoiceNotes (basically voice recorder reminders for you, and you can title them in text and not have to listen, quicker then EasyTask)

    Games:
Aurora Feint (absolutely hot, especially since its free)
Bomberman Touch - ($8, touchy controls (no pun intended) but if you like bomberman you should like this)
Critter Crunch - $10, a great little puzzle game with great presentation and a good variety of modes.

  9. For new iphone owners, the exploit to create custom ringtones still works with this firmware and iTunes 7.7

  10. Potentially stupid question:

Now, with 2.0, the only way I could dick around, write an application, and put it on an iPod Touch would be to pay $99 and throw it on the App Store, right?
