It's funny, because I went from using a 24" iMac as my main computer to a 15" MBP. Now, the iMac feels way too big for me, and if I ever fee like the MBP is too small (which I usually don't), I just switch over to using my work 11" MacBook Air for a bit.
So far, Yosemite for me has been mostly about a lot of little fixes or elements of polish, and in that regard, I'm really liking it. It got rid of the god-awful weird Open dialogs that were in Pages, and that alone makes me happy. As always, though, you might want to wait for the first major .X update release before switching over to be safe. I know that, currently, I'm having some issue with Google Docs under Safari that are really annoying.
