If as much happened the whole season as the last 3 eps there wouldn't be any problem. It's just that these could have been the first three episodes of the season.

Xena was a popular show, I just don't need for this to be that. Quality writing is going on with plenty of other programs, this ain't 1998.

It's to the point where I don't much care about any person in this show. It's cool to be very aggressive with your plot twists and who dies, but it's starting to feel like none of these stories even have an actual arch and the character is killed off so nothing has to be resolved.
