Thread: Game of Thrones

  1. Tormund (and Beric) is fine, they were on the side of the wall that didn't collapse. Lord of light didn't bring Beric back 6 times just so he can die from structural integrity of the wall.

  2. True. I actually forgot Beric was on the wall with Tormund. In my mind, he was basically a red shirt up until this season. The general rule of thumb seems to be: If you didn't see them die, they didn't. Actually, even if you did see them die, they didn't necessarily die for good.
I like my women like I like my coffee. Covered in bees!

  3. So according to the producers they filmed a scene where Sansa asks Bran whats going on, and then it got cut.

And there was talk of a movie, and while it might not happen I did see such discussion.

  4. I thought that discussion where Bran told Sansa about the movie was a little too fourth-wall breaking, even for him.

I know there were fans hoping for a movie spinoff and a good amount of talk around that. Back before season 5, there was a lot of hoping for a Robert's Rebellion movie. Once the spinoff prequel came into the picture, that seems to have superseded it.

  6. How about no spin offs, movies, or any other expanded universe crap. I wish I could retroactively erase the dumb games they've already made. All that shit does it water down the material. It's been watered down enough in the transition from book to tv, but I'll give that a pass since the books will never be finished.

I also find it kind of funny that people are saying the show has lost something since it surpassed the books, as if the the last two books were anything to write home about. We've had 6 seasons full of intrigue and twists to set up where we are now. The players are all in their place. We don't need any more intrigue. We just need to see the White Walkers wreck shit and ultimately get wrecked. Then we need to see Cersei perish by her own hand. I'd find more pleasure in one of her schemes backfiring than I would in someone else murdering her. Then we need to see Jaime and Tormund fight over Brienne. It'd be a great call back to when she was a girl and the boys mockingly fought over her. Then we need to see Tyrion and Sansa consumate their marriage. Like, actually see it. I love midget porn. Then we need to see aunty and nephew rule the world. Because I love incest porn too. Finally, we need to see Bron and Arya marry and take over the Vale. Not really though because he's way too old for her. But I think they'd like each other. He'd know that if he ever cheated on her, she could take the other woman's face and gut him from stem to stern. Maybe that could be a sex game for them. He's gotta figure out which housekeeper she's pretending to be. Or they're doing it doggy style and just as he's about to cum she turns around and is Waldo Frey. Fuck you, I'm not really into old gay man porn. No. I'm not.

I don't disagree, though I think a single-season thing or long movie/miniseries about Aegon the Conqueror would be pretty rad to see.

Yeah. Season 6 was fucking amazing and it was mainly non-book.

I'm guessing the show left out that "valonqar" part of her prophecy specifically so that one of her schemes falls apart and ends in her death.

  8. I've seen enough of it. In my head. The worst thing you can do to a story of old times is show the truth of it.

In retrospect, this is hilarious with Sam/Human pinata talking over the whole thing.

  10. Game of Thrones set in the future world of 1997, after the Apocalypse.
