Thread: What is this?

  1. What is this?

    http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...tem=1358374336

I've never heard of it, but I'd want it anyway.

  2. It's an adventure game of the variety that's very common on the DC in Japan - static screens, lots of text, and menus. Think Snatcher, only with lots of cute girls, and less detective work.

  3. Holy crap, that looks, awesome. I wish I had one

  4. Yea, a dating sim/conversation kinda deal with Nakoruru. Not by SNK, obviously.

I don't know anyone that has bought it...

There is an LE and a regular edition...

And don't these f-ing idiots know by now no DC imports on eBay?

  5. I'm surprised the auction hasn't been killed by now...maybe ebay has lightened up on the issue of Dreamcast imports, now that the system has croaked?

  6. Metal_Slug, jiji, you are both wrong. DC imports are allowed now.

    Geezis... about time.

Since when was this anyway? I'd also like to read eBay's reasoning for now allowing it.. or Sega's... who/whatever.

  8. Interesting.

    http://pages.ebay.com/help/community/png-games.html

The sale of imported Dreamcast software and hardware may infringe on Sega's copyrights and/or trademark. Sega sells these Asian versions outside of the US, and pursuant to 17 USC section 602, the subsequent importation and sale of these goods in the US (without Sega's permission) infringes upon Sega's copyrights.

Devices that allow the play of import games on a domestic system are infringing upon Sega's copyrights.
That policy still stands...apparently they don't care to enforce it anymore. Must have happened in the last month or two...the last time I checked for JPN DC games on ebay, I got nothing.

  9. Even if the policy's still there, I'm not complaining. I won't be paying insane import prices from sites like NSCX. (I hope.)

You're kidding, right? You pay COMPLETELY average NEW import game prices at NCS. No more.

And besides, isn't it more comforting to deal with an established retailer than have to deal with eBay folk...?

Plus lots of the stuff on eBay is used. Well, if that matters, anyway.
