I'm on another big record purge. I've had some jazz records for 20 years that probably haven't had a turn on the table since the day of purchase. I can see why because most of it is horrendously boring noodling. So far of all the jazz artists of whom I have multiple records, only Cannonball Adderly has had all his records stay. I wish this one Flip Nunez song called Mr Cool was on youtube. It's amazing. Since it isn't I will now post a song called Mr Cool by Rasputin's Stash!

I saw that! That drummer is still heavy as hell, like, 40 years later. even if he has too many drums now

Different bass player though...

Drummer's definitely still got it!

I am now through all of the American 'jazz' records. Thank Jesus. Here are a couple of gems from last night's listening. Ramsey Louis spent a number of years doing really weak piano band covers of white people songs so I really like the records where he gets funky.

I'm not huge on Henry Mancini but this one I liked enough to keep the record whereupon it is the only good song.
