In Solitude were a by-the-numbers throwback metal outfit (there was a weird period in the mid to late noughties when a bunch of bands came out that desperately wanted to sound like old Judas Priest and Mercyful Fate) that made a surprising style change for their third album, switching to a catchy strain of post-punk influenced occult rock. And of course, as soon as they became interesting, they broke up.
