I saw a John Fahey blurb come down the ol' FB wall and I like him so I checked it out. Since then I have been listening to this because it is just nuts.

I got to spend an hour talking with Larry Livermore about how to be a sucessful filmmaker and what makes a good band. He's alright.

You should have asked him how to not pay bands, fuck underage boys, and run a label into the ground. He's tops at that stuff.

I don't know, because I wasn't there. But he left before the shitstorm of not paying bands happened. The dispute with screeching weasel was one of them escalating how much they wanted per record. He gave in the first time, but not the second, because he'd have to raise the price of records and someone's wife kept wanting to hire new people and be more 'professional'. He had a fairly good relationship with Ian after the fall out. I would think Ian is a good judge of character. Again this is all from his perspective. So, I don't know. He could be a pathological liar.

I tried googling the underage boy thing and got nothing. What happened there?

[Josh]

Stories from the "scene" back in the day. It was just sort of taken as fact. I don't know if it's fair or not.

He was right up front next to me when Ben Weasel played the Ottobar, which I thought was pretty cool since he was, like 60 at the time.
