Thread: What Are You Listening to? Part 2

  1. #5591
Alright Cheeks, what's the best Dick Dale album and/or anthology. I don't want a padded tracklist, I want the goods. I have King of the Surf Guitar from 1989, is there anything else I need?

  2. I'm in the mood for some live Radiohead. Is there anything on youtube as good as the Astoria '94 show? I've looked at a few from the late 2000s...and they aren't.

  3. A dude I internet know is the guitar player in this band. It's pretty nutso grind, with him using an octave pedal y split in a couple amps. Female singer as well. Probably too much for tnl, but they're from Baltimore, so josh should check it out out of duty.
    Boo, Hiss.

Only live radiohead thing I know is their webcast New Order cover, and it's killer.

Have I talked about Blue Angel in here before? Cyndi Lauper's first band. It's killer, and her voice isn't all super crazy all the time yet.

    They're really, really good!

I found out about them a year or 2 ago. Was browsing through my bandcamp stuff and remembered how much I dig it.

I don't think I've heard a band inject such freshness into a well worn formula in a long time. Cloud Rat is also female fronted grind, but, while very good, not quite as gonzo as THAZ. They're doing a little tour right now and working on the next album.
