Ok, I discoved you can use the card as "debit" and still get the change. So I payed off my credit card with the check card (making sure there wasn't a service fee), in $1.01 increments. I now have my $250 and don't have to go through the trouble of fast food & buying gas twice a day. It was begining to feel like Brewster's Tens...
