If there's any good mods I should add before starting, you guys should tell me.
I'm talking shit to make it pretty, mostly.

This is definitely on my list to buy soon.
Enable Full Dynamic Lighting
- really makes a BIG DIFFERENCE in the eye candy. all the colors seems very vibrant and more lifelike
- it makes the textures have more depth (Parallax Occlusion Mapping)
- your flashlight lights up the area alot more
- everything has shadows/self shadows.
HAVE NOT USED FLOAT 32 MYSELF YET
FLOAT32 mod:
http://www.thefloatingpoint.org/main/news.php
- supposedly makes the game render 20% faster
- don't use the -noprecache switch when starting
SHAPER TEXTURE MOD:
http://board.oblivion-lost.de/showthread.php?t=10034
- like the name says it makes the texture shaper.
S.T.A.L.K.E.R.Weather_Overhauled
http://board.oblivion-lost.de/showthread.php?t=12303
- very nice and realistic mod. makes the sky more vibrant and natural looking
- time of day change more "smooth"
- weather seems more realistic. more/better rain/thunder sound, etc.
I use the float32 mod and it looks pretty good.
Here's a sample pic from near the beginning of the game.
I'm going to do the float and texture mods right now, but the lighting one looks a little in depth when it's this late at night, so I'll throw that in tomorrow.
Repair mod is simple and essential. Lets any trader fix your gear, so you don't have to fear wearing down your good shit.

Sounds more like a cheat to me...
Not when you see what they charge to repair.

I'm sorry but worrying about repairing because of absurd prices doesn't really strike me as something that adds to a game.
