  4. I was talking about this with Six and thought I'd share it for anyone else still playing this game:

    3. Now use the right thumb stick to navigate through the sidebar menus and select the team's playbook that you want to copy the current playbook to.

    4. A screen will pop up asking you if you want to quit without saving; choose "no."

    5. After choosing "no," press start to save.

    6. The contents of the playbook you are looking at on-screen should now be copied to the playbook you tried open but said "no" to.

  5. Since the new EA football games started surfacing, we've had a rash of owners retiring from All Pro Football, leaving a couple of teams on the search for replacement owners.

    LOL, no no no.

  7. TB
Gold QB-Brett Favre (lucky shovel plays)

  8. NFLP Super Bowl II

    Titans -- 28
    Patriots -- 24

    Box Score

Vince Young shook his head, peeled the turf off his helmet, and looked up at the scoreboard; the red dots glared: 4th and 24, ball on TEN 21.

Three out of the last four plays, Patriots OLB Mike Vrabel had beaten the Titans' stud left tackle, Michael Roos, broken through additional double and triple teams from the left guard Eugene Amano and halfback LenDale White, then planted himself on top of their quarterback.

For a Titans' offense that hadn't put a single point on the board since 3:02 in the second quarter, this was their last chance, not just for the day, but for the 2008 NFLP season.

The play call crackled inside Vince Young’s helmet: empty gun, all streaks. As the ball snapped back from center Kevin Mawae’s hands, Vince Young surveyed the left side of his line: for once, no Mike Vrabel in sight. Young rolled left, planted, and was about to heave it up into a single-covered Alge Crumpler, when he noticed, out of the corner of his eye, an uncovered Bo Scaife, whom he had re-routed into a slant across the right side of the field prior to the snap. 31 yards later, the Titans were back in business. Four plays later, the Titans regained the very lead that they had relinquished--for the first time all game--only a minute ago, as Michael Roos and LenDale White atoned for their blocking blunders, executing a picture-perfect screen pass to put the Titans on top 28-24.

But against a deadly Patriots passing attack, no lead is ever safe. With the Patriots having 0:40 on the clock, 70 yards to go, and two timeouts remaining, the Titans’ defense knew it was up to them to win the game; the clock simply wasn’t going to win the game for them. And when the Patriots conjured up some of that same fourth down magic en route to the Nashville 44 yard-line, completing a 4th and 10 pass to Melvin Davidson for 25 yards, and stopping the clock with 0:27 seconds remaining, the defense knew that they needed to step-up and shut the door now if they didn’t want to risk getting hit by the lightening bolt know as Brady to Moss. Star defensive end Kyle Vandenbosch didn’t simply close the door, he slammed it shut, bursting through double, then triple teams, sacking Brady on what would be the game’s final two plays, for losses of 8 and 12 yards.

With the Titans’ defensive line breaking off a destructive 9 sacks on the day, it’s no surprise to see one of football’s oldest clichés holding true in the NFLP Super Bowl II: defense wins championships.
