The writing was worse, easily, and maybe you just love the NES Advantage that much.

I really wanted to like this movie. The best part for me was how much the audience was actually laughing at the awful jokes, and how my sister and I were laughing at the audience incredulously. That is probably what I will remember most about seeing this movie.

My biggest problem with this was the complete and utter lack of emotional stakes, even for a comedy film.

I REALLY like Kristin Wiig, and I really enjoyed Bridesmaids, but even she could not save this.

And yes Ghostbusters 2 is waaaaaaaaaay better. It actually does put its characters in pretty interesting places, at least at the start. WEAK second half though.

2 was at least as good as most of the cartoon episodes. Mother fuckers gotta stop expecting all sequels to be Aliens.

Scream 2 lampshades it while also being a shitty sequel.

There are enough exceptions to that rule for me to reserve judgement.
Lethal Weapon 5 and 6 are amazing.

Walmarts around here are clearing out the GB1 and GB3 toys at 75%.

They have nice GB1 stickers and littler slimers and stuff if you're into that.
