Exactly. This is what we're talking about Aren. Not a lot was answered in this one, but at least some things were. This really is what every episode should have been like.

They could wrap up the season with 3-4 of these kinds of episodes. I don't want to to check off a list of questions the fans have about the show. They want to tell a story and continue building character arcs until they're ready to close them. You've watched for this long, let them finish what they started how they want to.

And like I've kept saying, WATCH THE WHOLE SEASON before pulling the trigger quick about not getting answers.

No. The only thing worse than these stupid side stories being a complete waste of time is if they are the epilogue. I don't care if people occasionally stare at one another with "Don't I know you from somewhere?" googly eyes, the shit is no different than "IT WAS ALL A DREAM." It's just a big reset only Jack has a scar and people stare at each other funny sometimes so stupid people won't bitch and moan about a reset. They'll make little fanfics where the characters remember and fight space raptors together or something and the ten percent of us who realize what a copout that is will just be pissed that there's no way to request our time back from these two assholes.

If that stupid theory ends up being right (and I'm afraid it will), the terrorists win.

You're really far of again. This did not redeem the season. We're halfway through and just now getting a good episode. Even if every episode from here on out is of the same caliber, the first half of the season still completely sucks. People who aren't up this show's ass will say "I'm glad Lost had a strong ending, but man did that first half of the season suck."

Sorry if I'm being redundant here but you really don't seem to be able to wrap your head around this: People will, rightly, judge each individual hour of this thing on its own merit. It's kind of what people do. When you get eight hours of suck in a row, one hour of rad does not have any impact on the quality of the eight previous hours. How is this so hard to understand?

Really, how? Does season 3 suck less because season 4 has The Constant? Does that make sense to you? Christ, I hope not.

This episode operating on a completely different format than the others this season and being far and away better for it should be a big tipoff that, whatever story these guys are trying to tell, they're doing it wrong.

Aren is fucking retarded. Anyone who says "HOLY SHIT" at Ab Aeterno must have down syndrome.

It was an ok episode, but they literally made us wait three years to answer questions about Richard that could have been easily answered much earlier. They have just stopped all Kate, Miles, Faraday and Sayid episodes until Richard, Ilana and the general conflict at hand, who the players are, whats at stake, and who Widmore is has been explained. Then we would have known at least a year ago.

This episode was above average only because it answered three questions: How Richard got to the island, Why is Richard immortal and How the statue got destroyed. In terms of actual mythology though it was a few scenes with Jacob and MIB - still mostly character related bullshit that NO ONE (except Aren) cares about.

We found out the purpose of the island, what Jacob is trying to do, and what MiB is trying to do. That's "holy shit" worthy.

Only because every week you hear the same shit by certain people. They give us character driven episodes, you want answers. They give us answers, you ask why the fuck did it take so long?

It's pretty clear that some of you, if not then most of you, are going to hate whatever you watch.

It was a perfectly fine show up until S4ish. Then they got too concerned with filling in holes, introducing new characters for no reason and barely advancing the story until the last few episodes where some OMFG WORLD IS ENDING scenario presents itself.

This seasons scenario will probably he the whole 'uncorking all of the evil in the world' bullshit they hinted at this week.

The OMFG WORLD IS ENDING scenario presented itself way back when Desmond said he was entering the numbers to save the world.

We're getting clues and reveals - it's just spread out through the season. We'll be able to connect the dots once we get the whole picture.
