I'm thinking Desmond's out of the picture up to this point in season 6 because he's the new Jacob and is going to fix everything. Something seemed up with him when he was all serene on the plane. Also, either he's the only Lostie that doesn't mysteriously recognize other Losties in the flash sideways or he was lying. Also also, motherfucker either had a parachute, was magic, or had a magic parachute. I'm leaning towards the middle option.

And dude played Jesus so if you need a savior at the last second, he's as good an option as any.

I'm still up in the air about how that works but if he's not a candidate, you're probably right. I know he's not one of the main six but with all the possible names it's not too far fetched to assume he may have been one and if so, how do you lose the spot? Is it definitive if you do? Fuck if I know.

Hurley's my backup vote. Jack just irks me but it probably is leading toward him. It's probably too late in the game for Des to be a surprise candidate but at least he and Hurley have something going on that actually make them extraordinary. I'll stop before Josh reminds us of Jack's super power fifty more times.
