I really want to. Aren saying the past 10 episodes of pointless flash sideways stuff weren't pointless because they are FINALLY starting to tell us tiny bits of information makes me feel sorry for him more than anything, really.

One thing I was wondering. LAX, very first scene. Didn't we have Jack see Desmond and then ask Rose if she saw him and she said no? That was all ALT story stuff. Then last night when Des was in the hospital chasing Charlie (again in the ALT timeline) he stops and mentions to Jack that they were on the same flight. So did they mess up? How did Rose not see him?

Lost has always been a mystery. They slowly give us bits and pieces of information so it gives us a chance to try and figure out wtf is going on before they come out and say it. That's been going on since the beginning of the fucking show.

That's pretty much how every fucking move/tv show/book/whatever is. That's like saying you wanted to know Bruce Willis was a ghost, Vader was his father, he was Tyler Durden. <<< Random movie spoilers

The flash sideways were never pointless. You guys were just quick to judge that they were doing it for the fans without giving it a fucking chance to play out.

It's the last season of the show and they wasted roughly 50% of every episode with non-consequential storyline that no one cares about. Even if the show ends and the main characters are forced to live in the ALT timeline, we still don't care about Jack's stupid son.

So it's not exactly the same as saying Snape kills Dumbledore.

Aren is just pissed that we aren't so fully engrossed in the show that we just except all of the bullshit going on. I mean seriously, if the first episode this season showed Desmond crossing paths with all of the main players acting as their after bomb personas, all while figuring out something else was really going on we would know exactly the same info we do right now. Couple that with the Alpert episode and we would be in the exact same position but it would be after 2 episodes instead of 7 or 8 or however the fuck many episodes they've shown this season already. You just can't justify all of the filler that has gone on in the majority of the episodes this (final) season.
