Thread: Toy Story 3

  1. Both are great movies, but I'd rather watch The Incredibles again than sit through another Randy Newman song.

  2. The only thing is the article said "hand drawn" not cell animation, so it could be they will draw the images on paper but still do the rest of it digitally. Kind of like how Spirited Away was done.

I don't see any studios going all the way back to full cell animation, it's an expensive, long process, and technically cells are considered toxic waste. When you are doing it you don't need to buy the cells or the paints, and you don't need someone to spend days with a camera taking a shot of each cell.

Kind of like how every animated project has been done for the past 5+ years, you mean. Studios abandoned cels a long time ago, this is not news.

  4. In Pixar's coming movie "Toy Story 3," Woody the cowboy and his toy-box friends are dumped in a day-care center after their owner, Andy, leaves for college.

EDIT: holy crap, the real news in that article is that Pixar is creating the Toy Story 3 video game in-house. This could really be something special.

  5. Interesting plot line. Sounds predictable, but Pixar rarely disappoints.

Hasn't Pixar done a few of those, though? Or was that Disney Interactive?
