  1. Next Gen: 100 Best Selling Games of 2006 in North America

It's interesting to leaf... er... click through this one. It's not just a numbered list, it actually has compiled info about each game that is fairly interesting considering how much each sold. Analysis of the figures is also included for those battling insomnia.

MADDEN IS #1?!? WASN'T EXPECTING THAT!

hey douchebag, stop blowing the template

  3. Family Guy sold better than Okami. I suppose it's no surprise. I'm surprised it did better than NFL Street, though.

Liberty City Stories cleared a million. I guess that explains Vice City Stories.

  4. Yeah. NFL Street is licensed and a sports game, it should have done better than Family Guy which is merely licensed.

  5. Most bad games I don't care about one way or another (Hannah Montana in the middle of the list? Eh, whatever.) but I had to play Family Guy. I take it as a personal insult because of that.

  6. Some of of those numbers don't seem to add up. I remember reading on Gamespot that Gears of War hit 3 million sales. Yet on that list it's just at 1.6 million...

  7. North America.

  8. I now see why there are so many cookie cutter licensed games on store shelves. An unsettlingly large portion of this list contains them.

That actually was pretty interesting to see the numbers for each one. It pisses me off Sega didn't advertise Yakuza. I think that could have sold enough to at least make the top 100.
