I've seen this on 1up a few weeks ago. The idea is really cool but the logistics of it sound impossible to do right or maintain. There's a lot of "what ifs" and "how will..." scenarios.

I have never heard of this before, but apparently we've this game coming where there's no AI, 'cause every character in the game is played by a player online. IT'S NOT SINGLE PLAYER IT'S NOT MULTI PLAYER IT'S CROSSPLAYER
It sounds interesting, but I still don't understand how this is going to work. Like the guy in the first video in the link says, who wants to be the footsoldier in the truck on the bridge next to several fuel tanks?

If there's advanced controllable body physics akin to Burnout's aftertouch I totally would. I'd organize suicide groups where our sole purpose is to get blown up and then drape our collection of bodies all over the main character, hindering his view, progress, and making him an easy target for hiding snipers and grenadiers. It would be fantastic.
I <3 Mech
I'm definitely interested. I was hoping to get some discussion of it in that Looking Glass influence thread but I probably added too much stuff to that one so it didn't get talked about much.
This could be really great on 360 if the achievements are set up right.
Imagine people actually wanting to be the guy on the fuel tanks because they haven't got their "get blown up by a fuel tank 10 times" achievement.
"Crossplayer" has to be one of the stupidest buzz terms that I've heard in a while, but the game itself sounds and looks promising, plus it's always encouraging to see developers that are experimenting with the standard FPS mold. Too bad we don’t have any sort of release date to take note of.
I just realized that Valve is involved with this. It will likely be 2009's Left 4 Dead. In other words, it'll be the game they use to stave off Episode III for one more year.
