You might have an "insider's" perspective of the inner workings of the industry, but the simple fact remains that XM and Sirius offer something vastly superior to what can be found on terrestrial radio. It may not be to your personal liking, but it's hardly more of the same.

It's the same songs as on regular radio, they just give you a channel slightly more tailored. And if you live near a college you can hear all the 'crazy' stuff too!
They don't play anything interesting because regardless of what channel you're listening to, they've researched what the top songs are and feed you them. The same as regular radio. The only thing it has going for it are the sports packages - but are you really interested in what the most useless teams are doing, since those are the only ones that aren't broadcast for free anyway?
