they were on conan last night.
i'm going to pick this up this week, next time i make it to the local record store.

TBH it's pretty meh
I like it.
The Earth is Not A Cold Dead Place was
Sigur Ros > Godspeed You! > Explosions
Boo, Hiss.
They are ridiculous live. Easily in my top ten shows ever. The closest they're playing to me on this tour is several hours away, but I might make the trip anyway.
If you caught them on Conan, they were pretty good, but that's seriously only a fraction of the power of their true live show. They played one truncated song, and fairly quietly as far as I could tell. Their stuff holds up at any volume (like all truly good music), but takes on a new dimension of awesomeness when it's LOUD. I actually hesitated to include the mp3 link in the initial post because computer speakers just aren't going to do this music justice.
Not trying to imply they're the best band ever or anything (they've definitely got a few dull tracks to their name), but probably my favorite instrumental one.
Yeah i missed them the last time they came around, but I've always heard of how fantastic they are live, so I have tickets for a month from now. But really, after The Earth is Not A Cold Dead Place, the songwriting has gotten pretty tiresome.
did you guys get the double CD with the Jesu remix?
i just picked it up.. pretty good so far. (the hot chick wasn't at the record store though )
