Had a Shamrock shake yesterday. I only stopped at McDonalds because the sign in front said that they have them. Its tradition.
Correct. Most shake products these days do contain milk, and are thickened using a food gum. Odds on, if you read the ingredient statement, it'd be reduced fat milk, water, HFCS, corn syrup, carrageenan, guar gum, carboxymethylcellulose (CMC), and the flavor the shake is. Maybe something else tossed in, but that'd be the meat of it.
Gonna get my Shamrock Shake on, on the way home. Fuck, after the past 7 days, I need the elixir of the greasy gods.

I've only had one shamrock shake ever.

It tastes like the gold-laced nutsack of a leprechaun.
I'd imagine, that is.
I don't like plain Shamrock Shakes. It's like I'm drinking a candy cane. Mix in some chocolate syrup or Oreos and it becomes palatable at least.
mmm.. oreos in a shamrock shake, sounds good.
