All EA games past like 2008 register on Origin. Even if you have a steam copy, it'll still also register in origin. Though most of them you won't have to register in origin if you don't want to. You can download just about all straight through Amazon.

Blacklight Retribution hit Steam today, it's a F2P FPS that looks pretty good. I'm hoping the starter pack for that and Tribes: Ascend get discounted for the summer sale, because I'd snatch both of those at cheaper prices.

Any luck getting this shit to work? I can't get past the log in screen, constant Bad username/password errors. I think their servers ate shit once they went live on steam.

Epmode says Binary Doman is the sale so someone's going to be disappointed.

I played the demo and thought it was total meh so the full game must be good?

I can't get it to work either. Keeps telling me it can't access the server despite my opening my firewall completely to it.

I keep reading about errors with this updater program they force install on you and that it can't run without it. Ugh.

I didn't install it yet because I was waiting to see if the starter pack goes on sale. So one way or the other I'll be playing a week or so but I haven't tried it yet.

I think someone on here finished it and gave reasons (maybe AaronChance?), but I also enjoyed the demo quite a bit. It's a solid squad-based cover shooter with cool bosses and conversation-lite character choices. I'm hoping the PC version retains the voice commands for squadmates so that I can just leave my mic on my desk and bark orders like a crazy man.

Full game is much better than the demo. The demo doesn't choose the best spots to show off the game. The full game has a flow to the action that doesn't show best in small chunks like that. It's a Gears style shooter, but it's faster, more varied, and actually has a decent story. The voice commands stuff is pretty pointless, but you don't need to do much of that if you don't want to. If you like cover shooting, you can't go wrong for $10. Multiplayer is also good, but no one ever plays it.
