I'm torn, I kind of want to get Oblivion's GOTY edition with all the mods, The Witcher, or wait off for Dragon Age.
Also www.gogamer.com has Dragon age preorder for $43 http://www.gogamer.com/searchresults...ge&categoryId=
Speaking of great deals, STALKER: Shadow of Chernobyl is $5 on Steam right now. This game is most definitely not for everyone, but if you can get past its many warts, you'll find some of the best atmosphere and most unique gaming out there. Imagine a more brutal and action-based Fallout 3 and you're on the right track. Try the STALKER Complete 2009 mod while you're at it.

Witcher and Stalker are two of a shit ton of games I would like to replace with Steam versions instead of retail versions. If anyone wants a physical copy, please check my trade thread and let me know.
Hopefully no one takes this as spam, as I am hoping to legitimately help someone save some money and free up some space for myself.
The Witcher is must-play for RPG fans: awesome story, atmosphere, and, moral choices like was mentioned. It's only big flaw is the difficulty balance. I found it super easy (on default) for most of the game so I avoided many sidequests. Then, near the end they jacked up the difficulty but gave almost no chance to gain levels so I had to load up a much earlier save to beat it.
Witcher makes one more game in my pile of shame... Fuck.
Planescape Torment should take priority over it.
I'm falling pretty behind with RPGs myself. Too time consuming.
Soooooooooooooooo the LFD2 demo is delayed or something?
Horseshit.
Honestly Witcher sounds far too MMO esque, I don't want to go around doing hunt monster quests etc. I have WoW for that I think I'll pass.
You can pick up Witcher contracts, which are basically gathering quests, yes, but: they aren't all over, just a small handful in each new location.. you definitely don't have to do them, and if you do want to do them you don't really need to go out of your way for them. You're going to encounter these enemies anyways progressing through the story, so you may as well just get some scrilla for those Barghest Skulls you found.
In most aspects this game is relatively far-removed from MMO territory. I didn't find it to be grindy at all. You've got some freedom to "go run into shit," but it's definitely narrative-driven, in a good way.
