purchased. Yeah, paying for Roms is dumb. But this will be the first time I've given neo geo money for many of these, as most of my hard copies are used, so whateve's.

I went ahead and got the NG HumbleBundle, just to support SNKP. DotEmu did not steal the emulator, according to this story. More than a year ago they bought 100% of the rights to use it.

Windows 10 has killed SecuROM & Safedisc DRM. These DRMs get blocked because W10 sees them as a potential loophole for viruses. If the game's .exe file has either of these, IT WILL NOT RUN. Hopefully this could drive some publishers to officially strip these DRMs from their older games and put them on GOG.

Windows 10 is probably the culprit. Try http://ds4windows.com/ - it has workarounds specifically to let you use DS4 on MS's latest OS.

I had already screwed around with that for a while, no dice. I'll just go for the wireless 360 controller. Steam thing looks weird.

Just as an FYI, the Xbox One wireless PC adapter just came out and it's a better controller than the 360's (and requires Windows 10). I haven't gotten one yet myself so I can't speak to confirming the backwards compatibility, but I'd imagine it should support any xinput games with no problem so that could be another choice if you want to spend the cash/can't find an official wireless 360 PC adapter.

The Xbone controller dongle works like a champ with new and last-gen stuff. I made sure to get one as soon as it came out so I had it ahead of Fallout 4. The only issue I've had so far was with Walking Dead (S2). About halfway through the season I upgraded to Windows 10, and the game stopped recognizing my controller (wired in and wireless). Problem self-corrected in a few weeks. Everything else has been smooth sailing. The improvement in controller design is enough to warrant the purchase.

Everyone should upgrade to the One controller on PC. I didn't play a lot of PC games just because going back to the 360 controller was a real bummer.

What exactly is the difference?

It's just a more comfortable, better feeling controller. Try them both for yourself. Tough to go back after you use the One for a while.

Better d-pad, tighter sticks, bumpers and triggers are closer together, buttons a little wider and spaced out a tad more... It's just a better controller. And I loved the 360 controller for a decade, but once you try its successor there's really no going back.

My only complaint is the clicky bumpers are annoying. But that's a minor quibble.

I'm sure it's better. My only complaint is that it's $80 vs $35-40.
