No, it was 100+ when VSync was off. When VSync is on, it's 60 all the time. Both times, you can tell the scrolling is off (but only the former has tearing in addition to it). I will look into a bit more at some point but I don't feel like rolling back drivers in the hopes that it works.

Wrong, 7 exhibited the exact same behavior.
That's too bad. Everything should be in Program Files (X86)\Steam\steamapps\common\ path if you want to find the executables.
Steam gives you the option to create start menu and desktop links if you want them. Maybe you didn't always choose to do so.

I'd give advice but I don't really know what you mean by Windows search. If it's anything different than a standard search, I mean. Also, I don't have 8. You can't just point desktop shortcuts to EXE files?
