I get from that talk that 'our employees are so good and smart we don't have to operate like normal companies do'. Which probably isn't a brag, it's mostly true.
It's listed here which says the coupon expired yesterday but the blog post says at the bottom it's supposed to work until the 4th, so someone screwed up.

After hearing Sonic runs at 60 fps I kinda want to build a new pc. To play a Sonic kart racer.
What the fuck is going on?
60 fps really makes a difference.
Yep, just got the 25% off to work using this code:
GMG25-T6JV8-1NPBA
Time for some Supersonic racing!
I suggest watching the lecture above when Gabe starts talking about the future of Steam publishing (maybe about 2/3 of the way through). His idea is to turn Steam into more of a network API where anyone can publish whatever they want. And it's always interesting to hear about Valve's ideas for monetary compensation for user-generated content. They're even looking into compensating people for game recommendations (using some kind of virtual storefront).
The second part of the lecture is here:

YES.
One thing, though: It's a really optimized port. Your older PC might do well with it as is.

My pc isn't even as powerful as a 360. A real video card may enable it to play the game though.
So does Sonic Racing not have any kind of video settings options? All I see are sound options and control options.
I feel like I'm doing about 30-40 FPS, which is playable, but I wouldn't mind turning down the graphics a bit for a better framerate.
The video settings can only be adjusted in the separate configuration program, not in-game.
That sounds like Aliens Vs. Predator. It asks you what settings you want the first time you play it and offers no menu to make adjustments. I had to find the folder with the exe. file to open the settings options up to change it. WTF?!
You don't have a decent dual-core and a PCI-E x16 slot?
A $100 card would do the trick.
