Who's played Evoland? Should I buy it?

I bought it at full price and was regretting it about an hour in. At $5 it might be worth it. The idea and execution is clever enough, but it relies too heavily on direct references to other games (especially FFVII). It's also VERY simple. The presentation is excellent for an indie game though.

edit the ini it comes with

turn off AA in dark souls itself
