Fuck SCUMMVM compatibility, how about the fact that it has one of those shitty, ugly antialiasing algorithms turned on and the only way to disable it is by editing your fucking registry. What is that shit? And why does anyone thing those filters look good?

    Wait, what? No it doesn't.

It has some shitty filters but it's very easy to completely disable them. No registry editing required.

  3. No I meant the Steam version. I should have said "Fuck SCUMMVM compatibility." I wasn't criticizing SCUMM, I was saying the Steam version has other problems that annoy me more.

  4. I haven't bought the Steam versions yet, but I saw this screenshot:

The only real issue I see with the Steam release is that they picked the shitty talkie version of Loom instead of the unedited original release (or the FM Towns remake).

  5. oh, hm, there is a hidden menu. That's mighty unintuitive. And there's no documentation.

Interestingly enough, I notice that their interpreter is written by Aaron Giles, one of the main guys behind MAME. I think I knew that, but I forgot.

Giles did a lot of work for LA back in The Day too, typically on Mac conversions.

  7. Has anyone been playing the new Source mod Neotokyo?

Its pretty cool. Has a badass soundtrack too, though you don't hear it while playing.

  8. That looks pretty cool. I'll have to try it out this week.

  9. And Yet it Moves is $5 on D2D this week. Nifty puzzle platformer with a gravity shifting gimmick. Worth a fin.
