Seems a little easier than the first ouendan. over all its still fun, I like it, a thumbs up for me

I can't get in to this one. The songs just aren't as distinctive or memorable*, and the cutscenes aren't as charming. It's also a lot harder to infer what's going on without Japanese knowledge, but that's not really the game's fault.

*Pop Star is memorable, but for the wrong reason.

I hate to say it but I agree about the music. It's a little too generi-pop, and doesn't seem to be even slightly memorable. Maybe some of the songs will grow on me, but right now (at 12 songs in) they just seem bland.

I'm enjoying the scenarios, but wish they were more easily understood. The chorus level in particular seems like it should be really funny, but I've no idea why that guy is in a dress.

Yeah, the new songs just aren't as good IMO. It's still allright, but the first 2 games are better.

And the stories aren't as funny and entertaining as in the first game either.

I'm enjoying this more than eba (never played the original ouendan). Samurai Blue and the later songs on hard benefit from a more refined placement of notes.

Great game so far, sort of agree about the music. My only complaint is that they don't let you start on Hard. I know it's been that way since the first but now that I've gotten the game mechanics down and completed expert on the others, it's a little annoying to have to plod easily through normal to get to the harder stuff.

God, Ouendan had some bad songs, too. The two cops rap type thing was miserable, the salaryman superhero one sucked, and the bowl restaurant one sucked.

I know I'm late on this one, but remind me to stab you in the eye Mzo if I ever meet you for saying that Linda Linda sucks.

Got my copy a few days ago, and.. I'm disappointed. Not that it is a bad game, but the music just isn't close to as good as in the first game, and I also agree on the statement that the characters and stories just don't have the charm of the first (or hell, even EBA).

Love the updates to the engine (most of which came from EBA) though. I want the original Ouendan redone with the updates added.
