In the usual place you will find two albums by this trio made up of Scott Avett (vocals, banjo), Seth Avett (vocals, guitar) and Bob Crawford (vocals, upright bass). If you enjoyed Okkervil River from my previous thread, chances are you will enjoy this, though it does tend to be more consistently countryish, though they do punk it up and rock it out too. If you didn't enjoy Okkervil River because of the tendancy towards Bright Eyes-esque vocals, that is not an issue here, so listen without fear. It's a little more ballad heavy than I would prefer, but there's still a lot to like. I ripped these at 256 Kbps, so the zipped files are large; sorry.
It's a lot to plod through, but I swear you'll find something in there to enjoy. I'd definitely start with Emotionalism. It's the more accessible of the two and will ease you into the appalachian groove, so you might appreciate Four Thieves a little more after listening to Emotionalism. Plus, it's the smaller of the two files.
The first album is 2006's Four Thieves Gone.
