Unless you're really just interested in this for the gameplay mechanic tweaks, the expansion pack they are talking about including new characters, and the graphical upgrades. In which case fine... but those weren't even originally in the plan.

Who stole Cheebs' account? For two years he's been whining about how all this gen has been last gen in HD almost as much as I whine about Nintendo being garbage, despite the fact that there are way awesome games that aren't "last gen in HD". Then, a game that literally is last gen in HD (except it's a few gens) comes out and he wants to shell out for a new system so he can play it.

Holy shit, I'm acting so much differently! Before, I said that this gen is nothing more than last gen in HD. Now, I'm saying that this gen is nothing more than last gen in HD with a game I want to play!





Also: That idle animation, while horrible, does not seem to represent the animation as a whole. The direct feed video animates just like the original game aside from the idle.

SSFT2 has been bettered many times over, I'm not sure why everone's so jazzed for this thing. May look nice but it's still going to be SSFT2, in the end.

SSF2T is phenomenal to begin with. The new rule tweaks make it fresh again on top of that. But just because Fighting Game X is better I guess we're fools for looking back, eh?

Here are a couple of high-def shots of the game (courtesy of GameSpot) for those who haven't seen them. "Properly drawn" or not, the game looks gorgeous to me. For those who don't dig the new look, there will be an option to play the game using the original sprites, so everyone wins.

KOF XI then? I seem to think the backgrounds were higher res than the sprites, but I don't have the game right infront of me.

Anyrate, I don't think it'll be a major deal after a bit of adjustment.

BTW, 1UP Podcast seems to imply that they're still tweaking the standing animations, and know that the loop is a bit funky.
