Thread: We Are The Night

  1. We Are The Night

And so the Chemical Bros continue the journey into being nothing of consequence at all.

    This album sucks.

It could be in the usual places, if people wanted it to be.
    ABOUT ME.

"Underground music should have its back turned, it needs to be gone, untrackable, unreadable"

  2. the single sounds like every other dance track coming out these days.

Just as a side rant, I'm so fucking sick of this current trend of "indie" techno (Justice, Hot Chip, etc). Its all the fucking same, get a huge beat on a trashy melody, overcrowd the frequencies and get someone who can't really sing to sing it. Not to mention the amount of "remixes", which they seem to think means putting the vocals on a completely different song. It wasn't very good when it was done last decade by Fischerspooner and Felix da Housecat, and its certainly no better now.

This is what happens when the kids that liked Dashboard Confessional can afford synthesizers and samplers.

Fucking indie kid nu-rave wankers with their "outfits" and their "haircuts".

In the good old days electronic elements had a legitimate part to play in post-punk, industrial and the like, and then electronica split off and formed its own genre and that was good too.

And now they've just emasculated four or five genres, rammed them all into a package of twee nonsense and pretended that you can fucking dance to it. Makes me feel old and angry, and as a rule I tend to be neither.
