Kneecaping graphics to knock $100-200 off a console price isnt going to help poor game design anyways. There will ALWAYS be shitty games, why limit the good games to shitty graphics?

I agree, great graphics beats poor graphics, all else being equal. It would be great if we could get everything on one console this generation, like the PS2. Unfortunately different types of games are going on Wii versus 360/PS3, so those who want the quirky j-games will have to buy two consoles.

We've been promised revolutionary new AI for years and years now, yet when a game does eventually bring landmark AI it's always because of great design (not blazing processors). AI usually sucks because it's not worth the cost to develop it most of the time. It's not a selling point to most people.
