Proper diet, rest, and soft tissue work are key.
I beat my bodies ass like it owes me money, but I also take care of it.
Do research, figure out what is causing the problems with your body and address them. So many times something like the achilies are symptoms of another issue that can be fixed without the use of drugs (tight quads are hip inflexibility causing issues in the heel for example).
I'm about to go spend about ten minutes on the foam roller and do a bit of myofacsial release in fact!
