So my summer weight cut is almost done, about another week to go (sept 1st) and then "all these abs" are getting covered up by the winter bulk.
Done to around 160 now and the goal is to hit 192 by the end of the bulk.
I'm gonna do a vid of my first day bulking (each meal) and then toss it up on the youtubes.
Yea it's a lot of weight, but I'm also super lean right now. I'm guessing I'm around 5%-8% bodyfat.
As far as my bulk goes, as the eternal hard-gainer eating enough calories daily is always a huge issue.
I go pretty clean, carbs and protein with every meal, tons of water and protein shakes, and on my cheat day I eat pretty much whatever I want within reason. Anything less than 5000 calories per day is a bust.
Generally after the first month I jump back up to around 175ish, then it's the hard slog to 190.
So +/- 15/20% of your body weight a year? That sounds unhealthy (but I'm no expert). Can you explain how I'm wrong? What are the advantages? Disadvantages?

I do that non-intentionally
Every time I poop.
Primal and paleo have their place, but like many things (crossfit, kettlbells, olympic lifting, ultra marathon athletes, etc) I find that people get way, way, way too narrow minded and forget that all of these things are tools in a giant toolbox, and committing yourself to any one thing is limiting your progress in the long run.
With the soapbox outta the way: to grow you gotta eat and sleep, and eat even more. So I'm definitely not limiting myself to only fruit and vegetable carb sources. Whole and long grains are key, though I stay away from anything (other than my cheat day) that my body can process super fast (think white carbs). The more processed a food is the more I avoid it.
My schedule can get pretty hectic with all of the people I train and work with, so I make sure to keep a few healthy pb&j sandwiches in my bag at all times just in case.
Also change up my supplements and pre-post workout stacks. It's a long process, but I don't mind having long term goals. I originally would cut weight to compete in bjj to 139 at 5'11, and now when I'm super lean like right now I walk around at 160ish (and walk around 180 during the bulk), so I've put on quite a bit of muscle.
Like everything, just takes time and dedication.
Also coconut milk is tasty!
Understandable...and I've seen my share of crazy crossfit folk (I'm a trainer myself)...some of the other trainers are go-for-broke paleo nuts...and it can get a little annoying. If you haven't already, I would highly suggest taking a month and trying paleo strict. I know it's hugely dependent on the individual, but when I cut out dairy and go strict the positive changes in body composition and performance are almost immediate...yet trying to gain mass is still a huge question mark for me. I can only eat so much meat and vegetables. Plus, I love milk and cheese, so...
