After my recent medical tests came back with worrying results I've been watching my diet and working out with free weights at the gym. Cholesterol was through the roof, blood sugar levels were pre-diabeetus. Made some positive progress since then and I'm happy with the way it's working out, but I'm still a long way from getting swole. Lost about 20 pounds so far and I feel much better overall. new test results came back a few days ago and they showed a hell of a lot of improvement. Feels good.
I'm hoping to put up some swole pics within the next two months.
PS - is Crossfit somehow not the worst thing in the fucking world? When I work out I focus on form, breathing correctly and control. Crossfit looks like it's the opposite of all that, plus back problems waiting to happen. Am I missing something?

My cousin is a Crossfit trainer. He's diesel as shit.
I know a lot of people involved in crossfit. And "involved" is an understatement. Half are shredded, all are very strong, but half also don't look like they exercise at all. I can't afford something like that but I understand the value. Unfortunately it won't get me to my goal which is Franco Columbu.

Dumb question: if I'm working out 4 days a week and the only supplement I'm using is powdered whey protein. Do I only drink it after workouts or every day?
Depends if you're hitting your protein goals or not? But I doubt you're getting enough protein everyday so you'll probably drink it every day.
To be specific, your body doesn't really take the days you're not working out off, that's when it's still doing a lot of work on it's own. Your diet to get the amount of protein you need should stay consistent from a day to day basis.
