It was. You can pick up the DVD pretty much everywhere for $10, and there's a link somewhere in this thread where you can watch it online for free (it's public domain).

I didn't think the CG for the zombie/vampires was that bad. I mean they looked like diseased humans instead of skeletons with rotten flesh dripping off of them. Meh to each his own.

Not that so much as the FX looked like half a step up from "The Mummy" 10 years ago.

The CG guys love the shit out of subsurface light scattering, and it shows. It just doesn't look that good in this flick.

(I haven't looked this up, but I suspect the same crew who did "I, Robot" worked on this movie)

I thought that the I, Robot CG looked more effective, but that's probably because those guys were made of metal and plastic as opposed to flesh and blood like the Vamps in I Am Legend.

For 50 million of FX budget, zompires looked liked shit. Agreed on I Am Robot looking better.
