All the gaps in logic with marvel do nothing to my enjoyment of the movie, maybe make for a laugh or two, that's about it.
The ONLY thing that actually bothered me was cap spoiling the ending with his "you won't be a hero where it counts" speech.

So i just read through the thread. My thought on the mind control thing (which i guess i totally made up since it isnt addressed at all in the movie) was that the gem in the staff was a mini tesseract and that the aliens were like skrulls with a twist. They dont adopt the forms of others, but can take over their bodies. I assumed the staff allowed an aliens consciousness to be transferred into whoevers bodies.
Whatever. It was a little gay. Comics.
At least there was no stupid Bat Voice equivalent that pulled me out of the movie.
