It's not worth it for the effects, but I didn't want to wait another hour for the 2D version to play.

I didn't watch the 3D version of Avengers. Was it worth it in any way? I found that it usually is not.

3D is done in post-production so it's crap... only time it is worth it IMO is when it's shot in 3D.

All the movies that have been breaking records lately are movies that are released in 3D... I don't think this is a coincidence. It's a big boost and people are buying into it, and more theaters are doing more screenings in 3D. I find that getting 2D versions in my area is much harder.
