Last weekend, the film set the opening weekend record with $207.4 million. Internationally, "The Avengers" earned $95.4 million this weekend. It's also the fastest film to reach the $200 million mark domestically in three days, the fastest to reach $300 million in nine days, it has the highest Saturday ($69.5 million) and Sunday ($57 million) totals of all time, and the second-biggest single-day gross of all time ($80.8 million).
The 1,002.1 Million what the hell SHH.
MechDeus - Nick is the Bruce Wayne to Yoshi's Jean-Paul Valley.

So it's a flop? In all seriousness, holy shit! Maybe this will finally allow DC to get off their asses and make a damn Justice League movie.

  3. Marvel should just revoke the rights from everyone else and pay them off with this cash. Then Spiderman, Fantastic Four and the X-Men can be in this universe, too.

  4. Then things can get really shitty, just like the comics.

  6. If Nic Cage was Ghostrider in this series, it would always be awesome.

...just never in the way you'd expect it.

If the studios are willing to spend millions on making a shitty movie no one will watch just to keep the rights, something tells me that they will not accept a buyout... Hollywood seems to think that the fact that they CAN do something is far more valuable to them than to actually do it... see: every property who's rights were bought and never turned into a movie too.

  8. Here's what I'd do if I were Kevin Fiege: go to Fox, tell them to give back FF and Daredevil and let Marvel reference Xmen and use its characters (mainly Wolverine, but keep the door open for others) in team-ups, and in return, Xmen is theirs forever. No need to ever crap out another Wolverine Origins for the sake of holding onto the rights. Because honestly, that's bad for EVERYBODY. Go to Sony, same deal re: Spider-Man.

I have a good feeling that Wolverine: Origins was going to be good and than Jackman fucked it up... it was supposed to be R but since he was the producer he went "naw, I'd rather make something my son can watch." It's like Lucas making Return of the Jedi for his kid.
