Thread: Official Toy Thread

  1. Got a 7" Figure of Eddie from the cover of Iron Maiden's "Piece Of Mind" album. Pretty nice figure, build quality is not bad for a lower priced figure, plus it has a pretty nice backdrop from the album cover that you can plug his chains into, both on the floor, and the walls.

  2. That Eddie is pretty sexy.

My girlfriend dropped about $200 pre-ordering the Hot Toys Avengers Loki doll that's due out in a month or so.

  3. Christ I can see why that Loki doll costs so much. The detailing on the face is pretty amazing.

  4. It's sick. If you squint just a little it looks like a real guy.

  5. I've seen Iron Maiden figs at Toys R Us. But only the one I wouldn't want (Final Frontier). There's others on the back of the package that I actually like, but I never see them in store.

Well I got that specific Maiden figure from a local comic store in Liverpool town centre that were also selling the "Killers" Eddie figure too. I really want the "Phantom Of The Opera" Eddie figure that I've seen on Ebay for around $19 from the NECA Ebay store though. Comes with an attachable organ too, which is nice.

Another awesome void-filler is apparently on the way in November, too, with MediCom unveiling a Skyward Sword version of Link as part of its 12" Real Action Heroes posable figure line. Like all RAH figures, Link comes outfitted in swappable armor and clothing, plus interchangeable facial accessories and a bunch of weapons including his True Master Sword, Hylian Shield, Tough Beetle and Sacred Bow. The RAH Link is expected to retail for about ¥20,790 in Japan, so US fans should expect to shell out around $220+ when it arrives on preorder sites. You can get a closer look at MediCom's RAH Link after the jump.
Amiami had the pre-order for about 150.

  8. Not referring to anyone here specifically but I never quite got the whole "Buy a toy for the shelf and buy another to have un-opened" habit, I suppose if you want to sell it down the line for a higher price that makes some sense.

But personally I'd rather just get the toy, give it a bad ass pose, and call it a day. Plus you can get another DIFFERENT toy for the same price, whoah!

  9. Toys/comics/games as an investment seems to be missing the point, but then again people do ok with it sometimes and it's their money? Fuck it.

    Burn all the boxes.

Yeah I mean, it's a free country and all so whatever but it's just kind of strange.

Some guy got wayyy defensive when I left a comment on a Marvel Universe Nova figure review on his channel and blocked me from even responding back:

I'm just like hooooly shit relax.
