I was never allowed to have anything with slime. I found out why while I was dissecting that dissect-a-monster thing with my neighbor and we got a ton of slime in his sister's hair.

I had the full set of Power Rangers spinjas. I got a StarCom vehicle for learning how to tie my shoes, while my mom was in line for it I played Snake Rattle and Roll on a Playchoice 10.
FUCK.
The slime toys were awesome, but that shit dried out like the first weekend you had it and left a water-soluble crust on all your toys.
Power Rangers were lame-ass on our playground.

The worst was when I had to buy the slime pit for a friend's birthday and watch him happily drown his He-Men in green ooze.
That dissect an alien thing may have been the coolest toy ever.

I did have the Mad Scientist figure set, but again, none of the cool stuff with slime. Like those bugs that you filled with slime and then smashed!
I remember that alien thing. That was just about the height of batshit crazy 80's toy design. Love it.
