The comics came out between Aliens and Alien 3, so they were just making new shit up. The old Aliens 'Earth Hive/Nightmare Asylum/Female War' novels were based on the comics, except instead of "Hicks" and "Newt" the names got changed to "Wilks and Billie" for whatever reason.
Ripley is missing, Hicks has PTSD and Newt grows up and fucks an android. Further hijinks ensue. Volume 2 is the real treasure, it basically looks like the Cameron movie. Nice airbrushed art. Volume 3 is drawn by the Maxx dude but it sucks, Volume 1 is ok and has a weirdo ending.
Pretty much every good idea in 'Aliens Colonel Marines' and Alien Resurrection got lifted from Dark Horse's Aliens Volume 2.

Looking good! BTW, it's confirmed that Vasquez is A) not an exclusive, and B) not the only new marine included in her upcoming wave (Aliens series 9).
IIRC, the actor who plays Apone doesn't want his likeness used. I could be wrong, but that would be a bummer if true as an Apone figure with a "look into my eye" action feature would be awesome. Drake would be cool, too.
Otherwise, none of the other marines (that haven't been made into figures yet) were really stand-outs. Maybe the female marine who panicked and torched Frost when the Alien jumped her from behind, lol.

Of course, that would require NECA to make an in-scale dropship well.

Yeah... lets not talk about that big giant hole in the movie.
