It would rain on their parade and I think they would pull a turn-coat to welcome publishing with open arms and a special collector's edition to all.
But that's just wishful thinking.
"Your soul better belong to Jesus, mmm-mmmmm..... cause your ass belongs to me!"
Nope. "I don't think censorship is the answer"
Nope.anti-capitalism,
Nah. "Again, I don't think anyone, right or wrong, should be imposing their moral standards on consumers."and support legislating morality?
Err, all of those are funny, but I meant Dead Alive. Oops.
As for the Guinea Pig series, I haven't seen one in its entirety, but I guess it could be more senseless than Manhunt (although much cheesier and much more of a niche thing). I didn't mean to say Manhunt was the peak of extreme violence in entertainment, just that it's an example of a stupid, base violence that doesn't make video games look especially good.
I don't doubt it, but the one I saw was pretty fake. I wasn't too interested so I don't know about the others. I heard some are more realistic than others.
It's too bad Manhunt doesn't do more to truly gross you out and make you feel sick for what you are doing, that'd be a real experience to play through.
If this game is released in any way i'll be purchasing it to show my support at the very least.
In the first one, a needle gets pushed through the skin on the side of a womans head and out through her eye. Its done insanely well.
Some other movies:
-Salo features, among other horrific acts, force feeding poo to kids.
-Gestapo's Last Orgy features naked women being raped, tortured and killed by nazi's (infact, this is basically an entire genre of film called naziploitation)
-Cannibal Holocaust features the real life brutal slaughter of animals, and an impaling that looks so real that the director was arrested for murder.
There's hundreds more like this. No game has ever matched the level of gratuity in movies or books.
Yeah, but that's not what I'm talking about. You're just thinking about imagery, but I'm talking about the reasons these pieces of entertainment or art or whatever have for showing it to you. There's more to Salo and Cannibal Holocaust than shock value because they're telling stories. That isn't the primary goal for most games.
Are you listening to yourself? I don't know a game that isn't a sports game that doesn't try to tell some kind of story.
