Thread: looking for THE screwdriver

  1. looking for THE screwdriver

Anyone know where i could get a 4.5mm Gamebit for a reasonable price? Lik-Sang charges $15 for the damn little piece of formed metal! Have they really cornered the market? If anyone has an extra laying around, i would take it off thier hands

I want to mod and/or spraypaint my Gamecube nifty colors

  2. I got mine from MCM electronics years ago, I'd assume they still have them. Although they have a minimum order, so they just bumped the price up to it. I think it ended up costing between 12 and 15 dollars. I don't have the link handy but I imagine with a little searching it can be found.

  3. Stormy, this is what I use, it is item number 22-1476 at http://www.mcmelectronics.com, and its only $9.99.

This set includes every tool I've ever needed to open up game cartridge and game systems EXCEPT for a tri-wing screwdriver bit for a GBA system. I've had mine for year's and its very useful, and easily worth the $10
    omg TNL epics!

  4. Cool thanks! i found the bit for $5, but that set looks much better.

  5. Dumbest thing I ever did: I ordered a $3 SCART cable and a $15 gamebit screwdriver from Lik-Sang and forgot about it. Later, a box shows up at my door. I open it and dig through the styrophome peanuts..... "Oh, I must have ordered a SCART cable" I say as I take the cable out of the box and throw the rest away.

    Me a week later: Doh!
