Thread: Class Reunion

    Class Reunion

The radio station I most often listen to has a lunch time thing where people submit their three favorite songs from the year they graduated from high school. There's a cheatsheet here.

    Mine from 1994 would be...

You Don't Know How It Feels (Tom Petty)
    Interstate Love Song (STP)
    Black Hole Sun (Soundgarden)

The last one was a tough call.

    What are yours?

The Fuses first album came out in 1997. I think I'll go with "Jesus on the Beach" and "Perfect Worker"

  3. I didn't graduate high school.

Do I go with the year I got my GED, or the year I would have graduated high school?
    Boo, Hiss.

  4. That cheat sheet ends 6 years before I graduated from High School. According to me sorting my music by 2003 I'm gonna have to say:

Thursday - Signals Over the Air
    Saosin - Seven Years
The Shins - Those to Come

It was a good year though with releases from The Strokes, Alkaline Trio, Andrew Bird, Billy Talent, Blur, Coheed, Death Cab, Joshua Bell, Mae, Muse, Postal Service, Protest the Hero, Thrice, White Stripes and Yeah Yeah Yeahs so it wasn't an easy choice narrowing it down to three.

  5. I have no idea what was big in 2002.

Songs I like NOW or songs I liked THEN?

There was some good stuff in 02.

The Flaming Lips - Yoshimi Battles The Pink Robots (pt. 1)
Sonic Youth - Rain on Tin
The Libertines - Can't Stand Me Now

Flogging Molly - What's Left of the Flag
The Decemberists - The Legionnaire's Lament
    Pedro the Lion - Magazine
    Blackalicious - Blazing Arrow
Coheed and Cambria - Everything Evil
    The Distillers - Seneca Falls
    Atmosphere - Give Me
Paul Oakenfold - Starry Eyed Surprise
    The Vines - Get Free
    Chemical Brothers - Star Guitar
    Reel Big Fish
    Bowling For Soup
    Neko Case
    All American Rejects
    Buckethead
    Wilco
    Rev. Horton Heat

    I'm just going to stop.
